Hey Steve I know you guys personally respond to most comments via email and all, but that leads to a bit of a problem.

Other people have already asked some of the questions I was looking for answers to in their comments, you might have replied to them via email, but that doesn't make your answers available to other people who might be wondering about the same questions. Besides, I'd imagine you'd probably get pretty fed up answering the same questions over and over again, to different people. So how about replying in the comments sometimes?

I was wondering about the streaming bit asked about earlier. The podcasting app's pretty great, and alot of people heavily and frequently use it, but downloaded podcasts tend to fill up memory cards pretty fast. So streaming would be a very wonderful feature, do you plan on supporting it?

The podcasting app uses the device's music player to play podcasts, which might not support streaming, or resuming the playback of podcasts from where the end user stopped. Any plans on making a custom player like the Nokia Audiobooks app does? Perhaps something that uses the device's built-in codecs so you don't have to add them again, like the oggplayer does(it can play any codecs the device supports, plus ogg).

Pablo comments on "Nokia Podcasting Update"

This is a great app, but from the comments I think it didn't pick up as well as it should. Many great ideas here that made me think "OH yeah, that'd be great". I mainly wanted to suggest having the podcasting application remember where you reached in each podcast. I use it on my drive daily and I have to keep the application open for 9 hours so I can pick up the podcast where I left it in the morning. Auto disconnect wifi, reattempt downloads if connection failed and download all are all great ideas. I also suggest being able to group podcasts into folders so I can update "comedy" folder altogether, or "news" folder individually.

Thanks and keep up the good work :)

Matt Gillard comments on "Nokia at Podcast & New Media Expo"

Just recently Buzz out loud podcast is not working properly in the n95 podcast app (I have latest firmware version):

http://feeds.feedburner.com/cnet/buzzoutloud

If I load the channel up I can download any episode I want. Then when I do an auto update the next day - no new episodes appear. So then I have to change the channel URL (ie: add or remove a trailing slash) for it to see the new content then have to download manually. I think this has happened in the last 2 weeks or so.

It works in other podcatchers fine.

Nicholas comments on "Updated Nokia Podcasting Application"

The post above has explained why podcasting sometimes switches the download location from memory card to phone memory. This was driving me crazy with downloads failing due to full phone memory and having to laborious go through, work out which ones are on the phone memory, delete them and re-download to memory card.

This is #1 bug with podcasting at the moment and stops a good application being excellent.

The #2 bug, also as noted above, is that failure to disconnect from wi-fi once finished.

Sami Köykkä comments on "Nokia Podcasting Update"

I would like to send a big thank-you too. The podcasting application is one of most-used applications on my E61i.

Being able to update podcasts automatically over wlan is something even the iphone cannot do. And that's one of the main reasons I'm planning to stick with Nokia :-) Good job!

However, there are some things I miss from ipod podcasting:

- Ability to resume half-listened podcasts. Seems that everyone is wishing for this feature - so am I.

- Automatic removal of old podcasts. I would like to be able to define number of episodes per podcast that need to be kept on the phone. And older ones would get deleted automatically so that they don't fill up my memory card.

- Podcast playlists. On ipod, I have a smart playlist which contains: "type: podcast; number of times listened less than 1". This way I have kind of personal radio station and I don't need to keep browsing menus when listening.

Also, some kind of icon which shows podcasts that have new episodes would be cool.

I'm listening to podcasts when driving, so these features would be very welcome to me (and without doubt, many other users too). More safety you know :)

Once again, thanks for a great application.
